I am a writer. Theatre and film consume me.
I have been encompassed by theatre and film for half of my life, learning, cultivating, and perfecting every inch of this craft. I have a deep respect for, and utter indulgence in the English language, with my true identity lying with art; real, honest art.
For 10 years, I have been in and out of theatres, consistently growing in knowledge and perspective. My experience is dominated by live theatre productions, earning lead roles in four university productions (Romeo and Juliet, As You Like It, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, and The Mousetrap) and supporting roles in two (A Child’s Christmas in Wales and Scapin). Add to that, about 10 different short films, achieving and performing various principal roles. I have been writing poetry and short stories, as well as, screen and stage plays for the majority of my life, far exceeding the longevity of my performance career. From a very young age I was drawn to film and the worlds within them. I cherish numerous, pristine examples of cinema (Life is Beautiful, The Green Mile, Good Will Hunting, etc.) that have moved me to my core and changed my state of being.
I am deeply affected by the words I have heard others utter in front of me, face to face, from a stage, and from a screen. My hope is that I will one day be able to write well enough to do the same to others. I am still growing and learning, reading and writing everyday, to further myself as a writer and an artist. I am putting my material out there to truly see how people respond. As I am still a very immature writer, I do not expect anything glowing, but I hope to get a firmer grasp on what people like about my words and what people can do without. Thank you in advance for your help.
My goal is to change the way people think with my scripts. I hope I can do that for you.
